Luhu Cultural Complex

Cut through Earth

We have been collaborating with Studio Link-arc, LLC and working on one of our largest projects LUHU Cultural Complex. Dedicated to the public life of the city of Shenzhen the complex consists of a theater, an art center and a library. The facade is a striking homage to the raw beauty of nature, inspired by the rugged textures of a quarry. The design represents a dramatic cut into the earth, with angular, layered stone-like surfaces that evoke the feeling of excavation and discovery. The bold, sculptural form mimics the geological striations found in natural landscapes, creating a dialogue between architecture and the earth itself. As visitors approach, the facade draws them in, inviting them to explore the creative depths within while paying tribute to the power and history of the natural world.
