A typical bungalowfrom the DDR time, Typ B26, has been transformed into a tiny wooden house. Therenovation doubles the footprint to create a comfortable south-facing livingroom. The high point of the sloped roof is switched from the north to the southto bring more natural sunlight into the living room. A large portion of the new façade withfull-height glazing panels gives the house a modern look. The dynamic shape ofthe new roof also provides a protected area at both north and south side of thehouse, adding a transition between the interior and exterior.
